Cesc Fabregas has made it quite clear all season that, despite featuring far less than he would have liked under Antonio Conte, he is more than willing to work hard for his place in the Italian’s squad, work which seems to have more than paid off against old rivals Tottenham.

The former Gunner, booed by the Spurs support upon his introduction, got straight to work picking apart Pochettino’s defence. It was his corner which found its way to Hazard for his goal before some intricate play between him and the man he had just setup led to Matic’s unstoppable strike.
