The build up to today’s tie made no bones about the fact that this was Tottenham’s chance to crack Chelsea as they did at White Hart Lane earlier this season, however, after stumbling against both Crystal Palace and Manchester United in recent weeks, Chelsea showed exactly why they have been everyone’s pick for the Premier League title since before Christmas.

The Blues were only really on the back foot for around ten minutes in the second half, a spell which came to an end the second Hazard found his feet having been brought on to save the day.

If more of the same is to come from Conte’s side over the next month-or-so there is little that can stop them from taking home a double in the Italian’s maiden season as a manager in English football.
