Five things we learned from Chelsea v Brentford

Return of the Ake

After being recalled from AFC Bournemouth at the start of January, Nathan Ake made his first Chelsea start under Antonio Conte.

The young Dutchman played for 90 minutes, starting at left wing-back before moving to centre-back midway through the second-half.

He was very solid for the duration of the game and his versatility shows that he may have a future with Conte in charge of the side.

Kenedy also made his first appearance since returning on loan from Watford last month. The Brazilian came on as a substitute for Cesar Azpilicueta for the last 20 minutes of the match.
