Five things we learned from Derby County v Leicester City

Darren Bent: Zero to Hero

The former England international achieved the rare feat of scoring for both teams on Friday evening.

Bent gave the Foxes the lead inside the first 10 minutes with a calamitous clearance into his own net.

He made up for his mistake later in the first-half by pulling The Rams level. He got on the end of clever cross by Will Hughes to get his seventh goal of the season.

The aerial effort was also Bent’s third goal in cup competitions this campaign; having previously scored in the third round of the FA Cup and the second round of the EFL Cup.

It was the 32-year-old’s first ever-goal against Leicester and his goal at the right end proved to be vital to give The Rams a replay at the King Power Stadium.
