Guardiola should give these 3 Manchester City players a chance against Chelsea

Aleksandar Kolarov

Aleksandar Kolarov was another who didn’t get a starting berth against Arsenal on Sunday, yet with 36 appearances in all competitions, he’s clearly someone Guardiola rates highly.

The Serbian international is adept as a centre-back in a back three or as a left-back in a back four, but with Chelsea possessing incredible pace in the wide areas, he’s unlikely to dethrone the quicker Gael Clichy from that role.

However, Guardiola may match up with a back three of his own against Chelsea, and that would probably see Kolarov return to the eleven, given his accomplished displays in that role earlier in the campaign.
