Newcastle United could leapfrog Norwich City in the standings and move out of the Premier League’s relegation zone if they manage to defeat Manchester City at St James’ Park on Tuesday night.

The Magpies, who currently lie three points adrift of safety in 19th spot, will be hoping January addition Andros Townsend can score in his third league outing in a row after netting against Southampton and Swansea City respectively.

Meanwhile the Citizens; who climbed up to third in the Premier League table following their 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday, will have their fingers crossed fellow forward Kevin De Bruyne can continue his impressive return from injury after firing Manuel Pellegrini’s side into the semi-finals of the Champions League.

So with both key midfielders set to go head-to-head inside St James’ Park tonight, here is how Newcastle’s Townsend and City’s De Bruyne match up so far this term…
