Manchester City return to the Etihad Stadium for tonight’s Capital One Cup semi-final second-leg (19:45) looking to overturn their one-goal deficit at home to Everton in a bid to reach the final at Wembley Stadium for the second time in three years on February 28.

The Citizens, who lifted the League Cup just two years ago after defeating Sunderland 3-1, will be hoping star summer signing Kevin De Bruyne can inspire the hosts to pull off a remarkable second-leg victory having scored 11 goals and provided 13 assists since arriving from Wolfsburg back in August.

Meanwhile the visiting Toffees, who won the first-leg 2-1 at Goodison Park thanks to goals from Ramiro Funes Mori and Romelu Lukaku, may look towards England international Ross Barkley as their creative spark in midfield as Everton go in search of their first League Cup final appearance since 1977.

So with both influential playmakers set to go head-to-head this evening, here is how De Bruyne and Barkley match up so far this season…
