Liverpool go to Manchester United on Sunday (4pm kick-off) still searching for their first victory of 2017.

Jurgen Klopp’s men drew 2-2 at Sunderland in their opening game of the New Year, and theN could only muster a 0-0 draw at home to League Two high-flyers Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup last weekend.

They then produced a below-par display to lose 1-0 at Southampton in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final in midweek, and you wonder whether things are beginning to catch up with them after a sensational first half of the season.

Klopp’s side are second in the Premier League having won 13 of their 20 games this season, but they know that if they lose at Old Trafford on Sunday, Jose Mourinho’s men will be just two points behind them in the table.

That’s because United have won their last six league games, and haven’t lost at Old Trafford since their 2-1 defeat to neighbours Manchester City back in September.

Thus, it’s all set up to be a fascinating afternoon at Old Trafford on Sunday, yet Klopp could look to make some changes to his side given their laboured display in midweek, so here are THREE Liverpool players who deserve a chance against United on Sunday…
