Liverpool find themselves second in the Premier League and six points behind leaders Chelsea at Christmas.

Jurgen Klopp’s side left it late to secure a 1-0 win over Merseyside rivals Everton last week, their second successive away victory in the league.

Sadio Mane’s 94th minute strike sealed the deal for the Reds, who moved above Manchester City into second and within two wins of Antonio Conte’s Blues.

Klopp’s men have won 11 of their opening 17 league matches, and face Mark Hughes’ Stoke on Tuesday in a bid to win for a third consecutive time in the Premier League.

The Potters haven’t won any of their last three games, and last won on the road at the end of November, where they beat Watford 1-0 at Vicarage Road.

However, they will provide a stern test for Klopp’s Liverpool on Tuesday as both sides look to get that first post-Christmas win, and set themselves up for a prosperous 2017.

With a tricky encounter coming up against Manchester City, Klopp may decide to shuffle his pack against Stoke, so here are THREE players who deserve a chance on Tuesday…
