Leeds United are reportedly ready to offer a contract to free agent Leon Osman this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The Championship side, who finished 13th in the second-tier of English football last term under former boss Steve Evans, are keen on luring the midfielder to Elland Road ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 Football League campaign following his release by Everton.

The 35-year-old, who earned two international caps for England between 2012 and 2013, scored one goal and provided two further assists in 16 appearances for the Toffees in all competitions last season.

Osman, who has been with Everton his entire professional career, called an end to his 16-year association with the Premier League club after they released the Wigan-born player following the expiration of his contract at Goodison Park.

The report suggests that new Leeds manager Garry Monk is keen on bringing in the experienced Osman as the Whites look to mount a promotion bid next term.
