Leipzig’s undefeated start to the season finally came to an end.

Their 1-0 defeat against bottom placed Ingolstadt was certainly not expected by the newly promoted side that hadn’t lost a Bundesliga game until Saturday afternoon.

Roger‘s goal for the hosts lifts them off the bottom of the Bundesliga table. It was only their second league win this season, with their only other win coming against Darmstadt.

Leipzig have dropped to second in the league. The Bundesliga debutants are still level on points with current champions Bayern Munich; who over took Leipzig in the league table following their 5-0 thrashing of Wolfsburg

A few months ago, this game would have been realistic to go either way. The two sides’ contrasting form this season made Leipzig huge favourites going into this one and the defeat has ended their immaculate record far this season.
