All things considered, Liverpool had a fairly quiet transfer window, free of Deadline Day debacles and last minute panic buys. Manager, Jurgen Klopp got his business done early on and then shut up shop in terms of incoming deals at Anfield.

The annual venture to Southampton went without fault once again, this time Senegalese winger, Saido Mane was brought back as a souvenir for the fans, costing the Reds around £36m.

As well as the man from St Mary’s, Georginio Wijnaldum, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klaven and Loris Klarius all joined the ranks under the German.

The biggest thorn in the side of the Merseyside club this summer has been striker, Mario Balotelli, who the club finally found a new home for in Ligue 1, as he joined Nice on a free transfer.

The deal for the outcast Italian was the main talking point amongst Reds fans on Deadline Day, and even club legend, Jamie Carragher had a pop at the former Man City man:

Whilst one fan was just delighted to see the back of him:

Some fans, despite being happy with the signings Klopp has made, are still calling for more:

Whilst others are growing increasingly worried for the season ahead:

One Red, however, was keen to back his manager and get back to the football, kudos to you, sir:

Kev sel agrees with the attacking but should have had a left back and a strong centre half

Before the transfer window opened 95% of LFC fans knew we needed a new LB, a new specialist DM and a striker who could play more than 20 game a year.
Now, with the window having slammed shut, yet again, we still need a new LB, a new specialist DM and a new striker.
To make it even more unpalatable we’ve got something in the region of £25m MORE in the bank than we had when the transfer window opened so three glaring weaknesses have NOT been remedied, we’ve got an ageing right winger playing LB, Henderson doesn’t know which way to turn when it comes to pretending to be a DM and, if he plays, the sulking Sturridge is as likely to be on the wing as through the middle.
Grujic has hardly had a kick, because he hasn’t been on that green stuff for more than a few minutes and Wijnaldum hasn’t had a kick even though he HAS been on the green stuff for just about every moment of every game.
Never, in my wildest nightmares, could I envisage LFC NOT getting even one of the players we need to fix the three major weaknesses we’ve got . . . but to not fix any of those problems whilst becoming even richer really annoys me!
And Sissoko, who can play DM and who was a star in the Euros, goes to Spurs when we needed somebody like him. They get stronger, we don’t . . . and we are supposed to be overtaking them this year!!!!!
Not without fixing the three major weaknesses we won’t . . . and the window doesn’t open again for months!
You can’t solve every problem from not creating enough chances last year to global warming by just buying every attacking midfield player who becomes available! That seems to be our answer to every problem but it won’t solve the “Big Three”!
