Liverpool are reportedly keeping close tabs on Portugal international Raphael Guerreiro during the January transfer window.

The Premier League side, who defeated Stoke City 1-0 during their League Cup semi-final first-leg match last night, have thought to be scouting the Lorient left-back for much of this campaign.

The 22-year-old, who already has three international caps for his country, has scored one and assisted another goal in 18 appearances for the Ligue 1 outfit this season.

Guerreiro, who can operate at full-back or as a left-hand sided winger, is also thought to be interesting English top-flight rivals Arsenal.

If he has a WAG then he’ll go to Arsenal as that’s the only place they want to be. We’ve missed out on quite a number of players for that reason and that alone.
