Liverpool have reportedly slapped an enormous £68m price tag on Philippe Coutinho, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le 10 Sport.

The Premier League side, who currently sit level on points (23) at the top of the English top-flight standings alongside Manchester City and Arsenal, are determined not to lose their key midfielder to the defending Ligue 1 champions during the forthcoming January transfer window.

The 24-year-old, who has 26 international caps for Brazil, has scored five goals and provided five assists in 11 appearances in all competitions for The Reds so far this season.

Coutinho, who arrived at Anfield from Serie A outfit Inter Milan back in January 2013 for a reported £8.5m, has netted 33 times in 156 games overall for Liverpool since joining the Premier League club.

The report suggests that PSG have made the Brazilian star a top priority signing for 2017, though the midfielder is under contract at Liverpool until the summer of 2020.
