Liverpool are reportedly considering making a £30 million bid for Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to the Football Insider.
The 22-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the starting line-up during his time with the Gunners, and now Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is ready to make a summer move for the England international.
Chamberlain’s current deal at the Emirates runs out in 2018, and while the North London outfit are ready to discuss a new contract, it is thought that the former Southampton forward could ask for his £52,000-a-week wages to be doubled.
Arsene Wenger is still a big fan of the attacking midfielder, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign because of a knee injury, but a number of Arsenal’s Premier League rivals, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, have all asked to be kept up to date with the new contract negotiations.
