Liverpool have played 55 games in 2016 thus far, and those games have included 184 goals – seven of which came in their opening game of the 2016/17 season at the Emirates.

The Reds fell behind to Theo Walcott’s 31st minute strike, yet Philippe Coutinho equalised on the stroke of half time with an exquisite free-kick.

They then netted three times in 14 second half minutes, with Adam Lallana grabbing the second four minutes after the break before Coutinho made it 3-1 soon after, and then summer signing Sadio Mane scored a fine solo effort to make it 4-1 after 63 minutes.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Calum Chambers both scored for Arsene Wenger’s side as they threatened a comeback, but Klopp’s men held on for a thrilling victory to open up the new season.

It’s fair to say that that win set the tone for the rest of their 2016, as the Reds are the highest scorers in the Premier League with 45 goals, and their 18 games has included 66 goals, the most of any side in the top-flight.
