Manchester United have stuttered in the Premier League in recent weeks, and you have to go back to the end of September for their last league win.

Jose Mourinho’s men, who won their first three league games, have not won any of the four matches since their win over Leicester on September 24, and have suffered a 4-0 thrashing at Chelsea in that time.

Add in the two defeats prior to the Leicester victory, and it’s just one win in seven for Mourinho’s side who, subsequently, sit eighth in the Premier League table.

Despite this, the Red Devils have reached the last eight of the League Cup, a title they haven’t won since 2010, courtesy of a 1-0 win over Manchester City in the last round, and will fancy their chances of reaching the last four when they take on West Ham in the quarter-finals at the end of the month.

Their Europa League form has also been indifferent, with victories over Zorya and Fenerbahce succeeding a disappointing 1-0 defeat at Feyenoord in their first match, but they are on course to qualify for the knock-out stages.

Nevertheless, United’s laboured start could force Mourinho to act in the January transfer window, and perhaps look to other Premier League clubs in a bid to reinforce his squad.

Thus, here are TWO Liverpool players he could lure to Old Trafford in January…
