Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge faces an uncertain few months at Anfield.

The England international has been used infrequently by Klopp in the Premier League this season, making just four starts and three other substitute appearances, and has yet to find the net in any of them.

Despite netting twice in the 2-1 win over Tottenham in last week’s League Cup, the likes of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho, and Sadio Mane appear to be buying into Klopp’s philosophy better than Sturridge, and it remains to be seen whether he will buy into it or not.

United were wasteful against Burnley on Saturday, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic the main culprit, and if they want someone with a proven record of putting the ball in the net in the Premier League, they need look no further than Sturridge, who could be available in January.
