Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea looks set to sign a new long-term deal at the club, just 10 days after his transfer to Real Madrid broke down.
The Spain stopper looked set for a move to the Bernabeu all summer, but a switch was scuppered at the last minute after the La Liga giants failed to submit the correct paperwork on time.
United boss, Louis van Gaal, has frozen the 24-year-old out of his squad this term, with the former Atletico Madrid man yet to make an appearance.
Despite that, the Dutchman is thought to have fixed his relationship with the number 1 and is now determined to nail him down to a new contract with his current deal expiring next summer.
De Gea’s agent, Jorge Mendes, was seen at the Red Devils’ Carrington training ground on Thursday.
