Manchester City are reportedly lining up a £148m double deal for Barcelona striker Luis Suarez, and Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, according the Mirror.

New City boss Pep Guardiola is keen to bring a ‘Galactico’ to the club this summer, especially after seeing arch-rivals Manchester United sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and has his eyes set on the La Liga duo.

Suarez, who was such a hit for Liverpool in the Premier League, and whose agent is Guardiola’s brother Pere, scored 59 goals in all competitions for Barca last season, and is understood to be open to a return to England, but it could cost around £85m to secure the Uruguayan’s services.

Meanwhile, Guardiola is also a huge admirer of Kroos, who is currently starring for Germany at the 2016 European Championships.

The midfielder worked under the Spaniard for a year at Bayern Munich before moving to the Bernabeu, and his release clause is set at £63m.
