Manchester United and Tottenham have reportedly been offered the chance to sign former Arsenal midfielder Lassana Diarra this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.

The France international enjoyed a successful 2015/16 season with Marseille, but is able to leave the French club on a free transfer as part of a clause in his contract after they failed to qualify for Europe this term, ending the Ligue 1 season in a disappointing 13th position.

Reports in Spain suggest that as well as the Premier League duo, Valencia and Galatasaray are also readying offers for the 31-year-old, who made 13 appearances for the Gunners before joining Portsmouth, where he won the FA Cup during his two years at Fratton Park.

United and Spurs are still looking for reinforcements in midfield, but the former’s top target is still Juventus’ Paul Pogba, with Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho still hoping to sign the Frenchman in a £100 million deal.
