Manchester United are set to make a move for Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi this summer, according to reports in Italy from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It has been a troublesome month for Icardi and Inter, with the striker not featuring for the side since February.

The trouble first arose when the 26 year-old did not successfully distance himself from the negative comments made by his wife and agent Wanda Nara.

Serie A side Inter were hoping to put the issue to bed, but according to reports the Nerazzurri are resigned to the fact they will be losing their star striker this summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be delighted to sign a player of Icardi’s stature if he got given the Man United job permanently.
