Manchester United are set to renew their interest in Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire, according to reports from ESPN.

Former United boss Jose Mourinho targeted the Englishman last summer off the back of a successful World Cup but a transfer was never completed.

Now reports suggest that current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has renewed the club’s interest in the Yorkshireman.

The 26-year-old has been one of the Foxes’ standout stars since joining the King Power outfit from Hull City for £17million in 2017.

Maguire excelled for England at the 2018 World Cup.

According to ESPN, the deal that the Red Devils were looking to complete last summer would’ve cost them around £80million, with his price potentially set to be lower this time around.

The defender would likely replace current centre backs Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo, both of whom could be shown the door from Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Maguire possesses a strong, physical presence at the back but it also very capable on the ball which suits Solskjaer’s style of play that he is trying to develop his United team into playing.
