Manchester United are set to unveil the signing of midfielder Hannibal Mejbri from AS Monaco, according to reports.

The 16-year-old has yet to make his senior professional debut but his performances at youth level have attracted attention from a host of top European clubs.

Now Le Parisien report that the talented teenager will be announced as a Red Devils player having completed his medical with the Premier League club.

It’s claimed that United will pay the Ligue 1 side an initial £4.6million and a further £4.6million in bonuses for the highly-rated playmaker

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been adding new faces to his squad.

The Old Trafford outfit came close to signing the France youth international in January but his appeal to have his contract with Monaco terminated was rejected by the Ligue de Football Professionnel.

But Mejbri now looks set to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrival of Daniel James from Swansea City, Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

The Norwegian boss will be hoping these additions can help the club finish in the top-four after missing out on Champions League football this season.
