Manchester United have pulled the plug on their interest in Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff, according to reports.
The 21-year-old, who made all nine of his Premier League appearances in the 2018/19 season, has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.
However, the Mirror report that the Red Devils have been quoted a whopping £50million by the Magpies, who are keen to keep hold of their academy graduate.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is trying to rejuvenate his squad with young British talent and has already signed Daniel James from Swansea City and Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Following the departure of Ander Herrera to Paris Saint-Germain, the Norwegian boss was interested in brining in Longstaff as a replacement.
But the 13-time Premier League winners now look set to end their chase to sign the ex-Blackpool loan star they were looking to sign for somewhere in the region of £20million.
