Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a move for Cameroon international centre-half Nicolas N’Koulou, according to BuzzSport (via the Metro).

The 13-time Premier League champions, who face West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, have been impressed by the Marseille defender’s displays this term.

The 25-year-old, who already and impressively has 68 international caps for his country, has made 32 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 outfit so far this season.

N’Koulou, who began his career at fellow French club AS Monaco, could be offloaded by Marseille this summer following their ongoing financial problems, with Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils one of numerous potential suitors keeping close tabs on the situation.

The Cameroonian star has scored five goals in 198 appearances for Marseille since arriving at the Stade Velodrome back in June 2011.

United currently sit sixth in the Premier League table following their shock 1-0 defeat at West Brom last Sunday.
