Netherlands international forward Memphis Depay has reportedly emerged as a surprise transfer target for FC Barcelona this summer, according to Don Balon (via the Daily Star).

The La Liga giants, who finished just one point ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid to claim the Spanish top-flight title last term, are the latest European side to be linked with the Manchester United winger ahead of the forthcoming 2016/17 campaign.

The 22-year-old, who has 24 international caps for his country, scored seven goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils last season.

Depay, who cost United £25m last June following his switch from Eredivisie outfit PSV Eindhoven, still has three years remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford.

However; after failing to impress former manager Louis van Gaal last term, Luis Enrique’s Barca are understood to be keen on the Dutch winger if new boss Jose Mourinho chose to offload the forward this summer.

Serie A champions Juventus are also interested in the winger’s services and are understood to have already submitted a £16.7m offer.
