Manchester United’s dream spine come February

It’s fair to say that Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has proven himself in English football after just six months at Manchester United.

The striker has scored 19 goals in all competitions for the club this season, 14 of which have come in the Premier League, which means he is just one behind the league’s top-scorers Alexis Sanchez and Diego Costa.

And it’s been his recent form that has been particularly impressive, especially as he went through a barren spell of just one goal in 11 games in September and October.

Ibrahimovic has netted ten goals in his last 11 Premier League matches, and continues to have an influence on proceedings, whether that’s in the final third or by doing his defensive duties well.

Any team with Ibrahimovic in it will carry a goal threat, but it’s also been his work for the team which has impressed this season – he’ll continue to lead the line as long as he is fit and healthy.
