Newcastle United are reportedly hopeful of recouping £7million for right-back Daryl Janmaat, who is interesting Serie A trio, Juventus, Inter Milan and Napoli, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.

The Netherlands international is said to be keen to leave St James’ Park after the club’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed by arch-rivals Sunderland’s 3-0 win against Everton on Wednesday night, with a number of Italian clubs interested in the full-back.

Janmaat has played no part in Rafa Benitez’s side current five-game unbeaten run in the league after he injured himself punching a wall in the 3-1 defeat to Southampton at the start of April, and if he does start against Tottenham on Sunday, it could well be his final appearances for the Magpies if rumours are to be believed.

The Dutchman has made 71 appearances in all competitions for the Toon since joining them for an undisclosed fee on a six-year deal from Feyenoord in 2014, scoring three goals.
