O’Neill should give these 3 Ireland players a chance against Wales

Conor Hourihane

Conor Hourihane is another player who could benefit from Ireland’s injury woes to receive his first cap on Friday.

The 26-year-old, who moved from Barnsley to Aston Villa in January, has been one of the EFL’s most consistent players over the last few years, netting ten goals in 41 games in the 2015/16 campaign to help the Tykes win promotion, and then six in the first half of this term to consolidate their position in the second tier.

Hourihane has since moved to Villa Park and started nine times in the league for Steve Bruce’s men, and with a goal and two assists in his last five appearances, he is in good form, and may be called upon by O’Neill on Friday.
