Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has arrived at Manchester United’s training ground to complete a medical ahead of his world-record £89 million move to the Red Devils.

The club announced on its official website on Sunday that the France international had been granted permission by the Serie A champions to travel to England in order to finalise his transfer back to the Premier League, and the 23-year-old arrived at United’s Carrington complex on Monday afternoon to undergo a medical.

If personal terms are also agreed and the deal goes through the fee for the Frenchman, who left United four years ago for a sum in the region of £1.5 million, will surpass the £85 million that Real Madrid paid Tottenham to sign Gareth Bale in 2013.

During his four seasons in Turin, Pogba helped Juventus win four successive league titles as well as reaching the 2015 Champions League final, making 178 appearances in all competitions and scoring 34 goals.
