With 13 matches having been played, the Premier League is now over a third of the season old.

There’s been a host of shock results as Leicester City top the table in one of the most unpredictable seasons in living memory.

Undoubtedly, the Foxes have the man of the season to date in leading scorer Jamie Vardy. But who are the top flight’s other star performers?

Here’s Shoot’s Premier League Team of the Season so far……..

Jack Butland (Stoke City)

Butland has been the best stopper in the top-flight so far this season

After the dependable Asmir Begovic left for Chelsea in the summer, many Stoke fans were probably a bit nervy about their goalkeeping situation. But 13 games into the season and Jack Butland has proved he’s more than a match for the outgoing Bosnian. With a Premier League high 41 saves to his name, plus five clean sheets, the 22-year-old is starting to realise his full potential at the top level. The ex-Birmingham star’s form is so good that he is a serious challenger to Joe Hart for England’s number 1 shirt.
