Vardy will become a record-breaker if he scores against Manchester United on Saturday

Jamie Vardy has been the Premier League’s star of the season so far. After a debut top-flight campaign which brought just five goals, some even questioned whether he had the talent to play at the top level for the next few years. But he’s extinguished all those doubts by scoring 13 goals in the first 13 matches. Most impressively, the England international equalled Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of striking in 10 consecutive games and can beat it when he plays the Dutchman’s ex-club Manchester United on Saturday.

Lukaku scored his 50th Premier League goal against Aston Villa last time out

The Belgian can be brilliant but can often frustrate fans with his performances. But now at the age of 22, Romelu Lukaku seems to be finding some consistency. With nine goals to his name, the former Chelsea man sits second only to Vardy in the goalscoring charts. The striker’s overall game seems to have improved, with his link-up play producing four assists, whilst he and Ross Barkley have contributed to 22 of the Toffees’ 24 goals this term.
