Premier League Team of the Week: Aston Villa, Everton and Leicester City stars impress in Matchweek 12

MF: Bobby Decordova-Reid (Fulham)

Fulham look to be adapting to top-flight football after a difficult start and showed their improvement with a 1-1 draw against champions Liverpool. Decordova-Reid was busy all afternoon on the right side of midfield and scored his side’s goal with a fantastic hit across Alisson.

MF: James Maddison (Leicester City)

After a quiet spell by his high standards, James Maddison put in a star display against Brighton. The England playmaker scored his first brace for the Foxes which included a lovely curling left-footed strike for the second goal.

MF: James Ward-Prowse (Southampton)

The Saints skipper has been one of the best midfielders in the league this term and carried on his brilliant form against Sheffield United. Although he didn’t score or create any of his side’s three goals, his pressing and set-piece delivery again stood out. In the match, Ward-Prowse created a season’s best four chances.

MF: Josh Brownhill (Burnley)

Sean Dyche’s Burnley are famous for their work rate and that was on show as they piled more woe on Arsenal with a 1-0 win at the Emirates. Brownhill epitomised what the Clarets are all about as he was all over the park to help the Clarets move out of the bottom three. The midfielder was also the player to jump in front of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang which resulted in the striker scoring the decisive own goal.
