Puel should give these 3 Southampton stars a chance against West Brom

Manager Puel admitted in his pre-match press conference that midfielder Steven Davis is a doubt for the trip to the Hawthorns on Saturday.

And that could mean that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is recalled to the starting line-up for his 12th Premier League start of the campaign.

The 21-year-old moved from Bayern Munich last summer but hasn’t quite nailed down a place in Puel’s side, starting 18 matches in all competitions this term, and 13 from the substitute’s bench.

Hojbjerg is clearly an important member of the squad at St Mary’s and has performed well when called upon, so should Davis fail to recover from injury, the Denmark international is likely to deputise against the Baggies.
