Sheffield Wednesday fans preview the remainder of the season (Part 2)

Fan: Tom Durkin

With only a handful of games left in the Championship this campaign, how do you see the remainder season panning out for Sheffield Wednesday?

“From the remaining games in the Championship, I think Sheffield Wednesday will beat QPR, draw with Derby County and Ipswich Town, then beat Fulham.”

Final points tally prediction?

“I think we will finish on 80 points.”

As all Sheffield Wednesday fans know, making the play-offs may be decided on the final day of the season against Fulham, how would you expect The Owls to approach the game?

“In the last game of season against Fulham, I think Wednesday will approach the game by starting on the front foot wanting to attack and get a crucial lead and hopefully then get another goal and get a massive three points. This will help us in the play-offs.”

Score prediction?

“Sheffield Wednesday 4-2 Fulham. Jordan Rhodes, Fernando Forestieri, Gary Hooper and Ross Wallace with the goals.”

What consequences do you expect if Sheffield Wednesday were to miss out on the play-offs this season?

“If Sheffield Wednesday missed out on the play-offs then I think Carlos Carvahal would get the sack because Chansiri wanted promotion within two years to the Premier League.

“The manager would be a tough decision, who the Chairman brings in, whether it is from abroad or an English manager, hopefully someone who knows the division off by heart.

“Personally I would try and go for Alan Pardew, if he hasn’t been appointed by a club by then. If not Pardew, then it would have to be a foreign manager because it is becoming popular foreign managers taking over English clubs.”

If Sheffield Wednesday were to make the play-offs, do you think they have what it takes to go all the way this time around?

“Personally I think we have what it takes within the squad to go all the way. I am very confident we can do it this year and reach the play-off final and win.

“Hopefully for our 150th anniversary we will be playing in the Premier League against the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.”

End of season prediction?

“Play-off final. In fact, winners of the play-off final and playing in the Premier League next year against the big guns.

“This would be a massive dream come true for me to see my boyhood club, who I have supported since I was seven-years-old.

“I have seen promotion and relegation over the years supporting the club. So I am positive with the strength and players we have and when everyone is back fit I think we will do it this year and reach the Premier League.”
