Shoot!’s FA Cup Awards (Quarter-Finals)

Player of the Round: Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur)

When Harry Kane was forced off early on, Millwall might have thought they were in with a chance.

But how wrong they would be. Spurs needed someone to lead the way and up stepped their Korean Dynamite. After Christian Eriksen sent the hosts on their way, Son took the reins and killed the game with a fabulous brace and then sealed his hat-trick late on as Tottenham helped themselves to a place in the semi-finals with a thumping 6-0 win.

His first came on 41 minutes when he received the ball out wide, cut inside onto his weaker left foot, and curled in a peach of an effort from just outside the box to make it two-nil on the stroke of half-time.

The forward went on to net his second with a terrifically executed volley nine minutes into the second-half, and completed his hat-trick after 92 minutes when his left-footed strike squirmed through the legs of Tom King in the Lions’ goal.

Not the most glamorous end to an otherwise stunning hat-trick.
