There aren’t many better strikers in the Premier League than Everton’s Romelu Lukaku at the minute.

The Belgian international scored his 18th goal of the campaign in their 3-2 defeat at Tottenham last weekend, meaning that he is just one behind Spurs’ Harry Kane in the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot.

Sunday’s strike took his tally to nine goals in all competitions in 2017, and it’s clear that he has all the hallmarks of becoming one of Europe’s best forwards.

Lukaku has excellent pace and incredible strength, which themselves poses great threats to opposition defences, but he also reads the game well, can pick a pass, and makes intelligent runs.

He’s a nightmare to defend against, and a player who undoubtedly makes this team.
