Shoot!’s ultimate West Ham-Everton five-a-side team

Manuel Lanzini

Ross Barkley has been in much improved form in recent times, but you still sense that he’s prone to losing possession in critical areas of the pitch, and is sometimes too rash if things aren’t going his way.

Thus, West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini gets the nod in this side, as the Argentine has brilliantly stepped into Dimitri Payet’s shoes since the latter’s departure from the club in January.

Lanzini has scored seven goals and laid on two assists in the Premier League this season for the Hammers, but six of those nine contributions have come in 2017 as he has become their go-to man in Payet’s absence.

He may not have directly contributed to any goals in his last four appearances, but he has still performed well in the midfield, and his technical ability and overall eye for a pass would be invaluable in this team.
