There aren’t many players better suited to a five-a-side team than Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

The Senegalese international, while at Aston Villa, was second to only N’Golo Kante in terms of tackles made and interceptions in last season’s Premier League, but this time round he has turned the tables on the now-Chelsea midfielder.

Gueye has made 121 tackles this season to Kante’s 110, and only trails the Frenchman by four in terms of interceptions made (68 to Kante’s 72).

Overall though, Everton’s Gueye has been brilliant in the Toffees midfield, with his relentless energy, incredible work-rate, and overall ability to break up play and launch attacks a key feature in their success this term.
