Southampton host Liverpool at St. Mary’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon looking to build some breathing space between their opponents and themselves in the Europa League race.
The seventh-placed Saints are level on points with Jurgen Klopp’s men, who have won their last three league games.
Ronald Koeman’s men recorded a 2-1 victory at Stoke City in their last outing, despite finishing with ten-men – however Sadio Mane’s red card has since been rescinded.
The South Coast outfit have also lost just twice in their last 10 league outings, although Liverpool have been victorious on their last three visits to St. Mary’s in all competitions.
Their last meeting produced an impressive 6-1 victory for the Reds in the League Cup – Klopp guided his side to the final of that competition, where they eventually lost to Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.
Forward Mane will be available for selection after his sending-off was overturned, but strikers Charlie Austin (Hamstring) and Jay Rodriguez (Ankle) are both ruled out.
Liverpool’s injury list is easing – although midfielder James Milner will miss the game through suspension, while Lucas Leiva (Thigh) is also unavailable and left-back Alberto Moreno (Hamstring) is a doubt.
