Spurs eye deadline day move for Belgian ace

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in Belgium international Axel Witsel.

The Premier League club are mulling over a last-ditch move for the Zenit St Petersburg midfielder after Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan joined the race for Witsel this weekend.

The 26-year-old, who has 60 international caps to his name, scored six goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for the Russian outfit last season.

Witsel has been one of the Premier Liga’s standout talents throughout the past few years since arriving from Benfica in 2012, alerting the interest of Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino before the close of the transfer window on September 1.
