Summer signing Andre Ayew is Swansea City’s top goalscorer in the Premier League this season with eight strikes.

Considered as one of the Premier League’s most successful summer signings of the 2015/16 season; Sunderland have certainly turned audacious in their bid to strengthen their frontline force before the close of the January transfer window with their pursuit of Ghana international Andre Ayew.

The 26-year-old, who has 67 international caps for his country, has scored eight and assisted four league goals in 22 appearances for fellow strugglers Swansea City this season.

Ayew; who arrived at the Liberty Stadium on a free transfer from Ligue 1 side Marseille back in June, was the subject of an opening £6m bid from the Black Cats just eleven days ago, although it was instantly rejected.

However Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is now determined to take his admiration of Ayew seriously by throwing Italy international Fabio Borini into the equation, plus an improved cash offer of £10m for the Swans’ prized asset.

Despite the latest offer being miles better than their underwhelming opening bid for the winger; it will still take some persuading for Black Cats manager Allardyce to convince Ayew to leave Swansea, who are four points clear of the drop zone after back-to-back wins, for the Stadium of Light where Sunderland are four points adrift of survival.

Fair play Sunderland, your the most embarrassing club in the division. As if we were ever selling him to you. Thankfully you’ve wasted all your time on him as opposed to players you could of signed. Total numpties
