Swansea City have completed the signing of Netherlands international Leroy Fer.

The Premier League side, who finished 12th in the English top-flight standings during the recent 2015/16 campaign, have reportedly splashed out £4.75m for the Queens Park Rangers midfielder (via Sky Sports).

The 26-year-old, who has 11 international caps for his country, provided two assists in 11 appearances last season for the Swans after originally joining on loan from the Championship outfit back in February.

Fer, who becomes the club’s first summer signing, has signed a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium.

The Dutch midfielder, who starred for the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil under ex-Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, had scored twice in 19 games for QPR last term prior to his switch to South Wales earlier this year.

The former FC Twente and Norwich City ace made his Swansea debut against Tottenham in the Premier League back in late-February, before claiming his first start against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium the following week.
