Manchester United saw their quest for three trophies this season come to an end when they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Premier League leaders Chelsea on Monday.

Jose Mourinho’s men were looking to add the world’s oldest club competition and the Europa League to the League Cup title they won in February, but N’Golo Kante’s second half strike was enough to send Antonio Conte’s Blues to the semi-finals, and end United’s defence of the title they won last year.

It means that the Red Devils can now focus their energy on Thursday’s home encounter with FC Rostov in the second leg of their last 16 clash in the Europa League, having drawn 1-1 in Russia last week.

Despite Mourinho’s men still competing in Europe as well as for a top four finish in the Premier League, speculation is already building about who they might sign in the summer, and one man they have been linked with recently is Everton’s Romelu Lukaku.

The 23-year-old has decided against signing a new deal at Goodison Park, for the time being at least, and this could see Toffees boss Ronald Koeman lose his prized asset come the end of the season.

United are one club reportedly looking at signing Lukaku this summer, so here is what their dream front line could look like should they land the Belgian international later this year…
