These 2 Liverpool stars must leave in January for their own good

Daniel Sturridge had to once again make-do with a place on the bench in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday, with Divock Origi preferred to the England international.

And, for the most part, that has been the story of Sturridge’s season.

The 27-year-old has started just five of their 21 Premier League games this season, and took until the 4-1 win over Stoke on December 27 to register his first league goal of the campaign.

Although he has made a few more starts in recent weeks, it’s unlikely that Sturridge is completely happy with his situation at Anfield, and so could look to move on this month in a bid to keep himself a regular feature in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.

Southampton and West Ham have been linked with a move for the forward in January, and he’d certainly get regular football at those clubs should they maintain their interest and strike a deal in the coming weeks.
