There aren’t many strikers in the Under-18s league that are more prolific this season than Liverpool’s Glen McAuley.

The Republic of Ireland Under-17 international has netted 14 goals in just 20 games for the side this season, including the opener in their 3-1 victory over Wolves on February 18, their most recent fixture.

McAuley went on a run of ten goals in nine games between October and December (one of which the opener against Derby above), which included braces against West Brom, Blackburn, and Stoke to help them to fourth place in the Premier Academy League North division, level on points with Manchester United in third.

Scoring goals at the rate at which the 17-year-old does is mightily impressive, and surely indicative of a player who has a massive future in the game.
