Tottenham comfortably beat Championship side Aston Villa 2-0 at White Hart Lane on Sunday to progress into the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino made nine changes to the side that excellently beat Premier League leaders Chelsea last week, and it showed as they lacked fluidity and a genuine attacking threat in the first half against Steve Bruce’s men.
However, second half goals from Ben Davies and Son Heung-min sealed their passage into the last 32 of a competition they last won in 1991, but are certainly one of the favourites to win it this time around.
That’s because Spurs are third in the Premier League having won 12 and lost just two of their 20 league matches thus far, with their victory over Antonio Conte’s Blues last Wednesday reducing the gap between them and the leaders to seven points.
Nonetheless, that is still a large gap to overcome, and Spurs may need more reinforcements in this month’s transfer window in a bid to reel in Chelsea and clinch a First Division title for the first time in 56 years.
Thus, here are TWO strikers who would be perfect for Tottenham this month…
