These 3 Manchester City stars are fighting for their futures at the Etihad Stadium

Manchester City had the weekend off from Premier League action following their neighbours Manchester United’s participation in the League Cup final on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola’s side were due to host the Red Devils on Sunday, but Jose Mourinho’s side beat Southampton 3-2 in the final at Wembley to secure the trophy, which means that we’ll have to wait for the third Manchester derby of the campaign.

Nonetheless, City have the FA Cup on their mind this week when they host Championship high-flyers Huddersfield in a fifth round replay at the Etihad Stadium, having drawn 0-0 at the John Smith’s Stadium ten days ago.

Guardiola’s men will go into that clash in fine form having won four of their last five games in all competitions, including three in a row in the Premier League, and indeed that epic 5-3 success over Monaco in the Champions League a few weeks ago.

So, City clearly have a lot to play for between now and May, as do several of their players, with some not entirely certain whether they’ll be at the club come August.
