These 3 star January signings are top of Chelsea’s Christmas list

Chelsea were linked with Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci back then they were struggling defensively, but it’s still a deal Conte should try and get done in January.

The Italian will know all about the 29-year-old from his time in charge of the Serie A giants between 2011 and 2014, and indeed the Italian national side between 2014 and 2016.

Bonucci is widely regarded as one of the best defenders in world football, but more importantly for Conte will be that he has played in back three several times before, and would be able to effortlessly slot into the Chelsea backline.

It could set the Blues back a world record fee for a defender, but having played for Conte before, and in the same system, he’d certainly be worth the money.
